Thank You to Jesse R. Erickson
On June 30, Jesse R. Erickson will conclude his regular term as Coeditor of PBSA. Under Jesse’s leadership, our journal has opened its doors to new authors and readers, expanded the format and range of contributions, and modernized the look of PBSA itself, all while continuing to publish field-leading bibliographical scholarship. The special issue on Black bibliography (vol. 116, no. 2, June 2022), guest edited by Jacqueline Goldsby and Meredith L. McGill, stands out to me as the kind of intellectually capacious and broadly appealing work that Jesse has helped make possible in recent years.
As BSA looks to name an Associate Editor to collaborate with Sarah Werner on future issues, I want to take this moment to thank Jesse for his service and to recognize his transformative leadership of a major part of our organization’s identity. I speak for our membership when I wish him continued success as Astor Curator of Printed Books & Bindings at the Morgan Library & Museum; we look forward to seeing him at future meetings and book-related events.
