Rare Book School attendees
The BSA-Rare Book School Fellowship funds tuition for one first-year attendee each year at any course offered by Rare Book School at the University of Virginia, in Charlottesville or another location, with an additional grant for travel or housing expenses. Candidates must apply on the Rare Book School website’s scholarship page.
American Antiquarian Society (AAS) Summer Seminar Attendees
The BSA-AAS Summer Seminar Scholarship funds two full-tuition scholarships each year for two attendees to the Summer Seminar in the History of the Book who are early career scholars and/or researchers to attend the seminar in the history of the book. Apply through the AAS when submitting your application to the seminar.
AAS seminars are open to graduate students, junior and senior faculty, library and museum professionals, independent researchers, rare book collectors, and members of the antiquarian trade. Hands-on sessions with AAS’s exceptional collection of rare books, periodicals, manuscripts, and the graphic arts are a hallmark of the seminar experience.
