2021 Annual Fund Update: Our New Goal!

This is a special year for the BSA Annual Fund. A group of Council members has banded together to offer a $21,000 matching grant challenge for the 2021, and we met that goal in September!

And now, members of Council have upped the ante! Make a donation today and your gift will be doubled until we reach our new goal of $25,000. To sweeten the deal, give $75 or more and get a fabulous BSA tote bag as a thank you gift!

If you are someone who has already supported our 2021 annual fund, thank you making our many accomplishments possible and helping us to meet the Council’s matching challenge.

As BSA prepares for a rich and active fall season, we encourage you to reflect on the enormous accomplishments of the past year. Perhaps you were one of 300 attendees at our record-breaking Annual Meeting, or you participated in one of our Bibliography Week virtual programs. Whether you are a seasoned member, or one of the 80 new members who have joined as part of our Buy One, Give One membership drive this summer, we hope you have found intellectual stimulation and camaraderie as part of our bibliographical community.

BSA’s footprint in the scholarly community continued to grow this year through active support from foundations. Thanks to the Delmas Foundation, we are now in our second year of “Describing the Material Text,” a project designed to refresh established online resources like BibSite while creating more opportunities for bibliographical teaching and learning. New fellowships have been funded by myself and Mary and Bruce Crawford to support research by Black bibliographers; the Peck-Stacpoole Foundation has again funded fellowships for early collections professionals for the librarians, curators, and conservators.

Please, join the many who have already given and make your contribution today. We are so proud of what our Society has accomplished together this year!
