Call for PBSA Managing and Reviews Editors

The Editors of The Papers of the Bibliographical Society of America (PBSA) are seeking two people to work with the journal in the roles of Managing Editor and Reviews Editor. Visit the linked descriptions to review the required and preferred skills for each role.

PBSA is a peer-reviewed quarterly journal published on behalf of the oldest scholarly society in North America dedicated to the study of books and manuscripts. The journal focuses on textual artifacts across media, geographies, and periods, including both traditional and emerging media and perspectives. As members of the Editorial team, along with coeditors Jesse Erickson and Sarah Werner, the Managing and Reviews editors will be part of a growing and intellectually stimulating publication that is actively seeking to expand its content and enrich the field.

Each role will serve a term of two years, with the option to renew twice. Each will be compensated with a $3,000 honorarium, annually. Both are remote positions with regular virtual meetings with the Editorial team.

We will start reviewing nominations on October 31 with an aim to have candidates begin work in mid-November.

To nominate yourself for one of these roles please complete this form. The form will ask you to assess your qualifying skills; you will also be asked to submit your CV and a letter expressing your interest in the role and the contributions you hope to make to PBSA. Applicants are welcome to apply as a team covering both positions.
